THE FUTURE IS HERE

Our theme at the Consumer Electronics Show will be “The Future is Here” -- fitting for a show where the world’s biggest and most innovative electronics companies launch their most cutting edge technologies. And as the only place at CES where visitors can see examples of these technologies at work in a real home, the 2005 NextGen Home built by All American Homes in Milliken, CO is a must-see.

Visitors won't want to miss the drop-dead home theater. A couch potato’s nirvana, it will serve up high-definition video content in a luxurious environment. With more and more people asking their builders or designers to include theater rooms in new homes, NextGen will be the source of some great ideas.

And those ideas don't stop at the theater room door. The home will include the latest in distributed audio and video. Visitors will learn how Microsoft's new Windows XP Media Edition 2005 can transform a PC into a digital entertainment hub, serving up audio, video, and digital photos on demand. They will also see new devices that let them access this connect wirelessly, or over a home network, from anywhere in the house.

The home will include the latest in affordable mobile control of HVAC, security, and home appliances. There will be easy to install power line security cameras, warning systems for everything from break-ins to burst pipes, new products for remote or automatic control of home systems, and the first production model of an Internet enabled oven. In other words, the products on display at the NextGen home will cover all the major themes shown on the CES show floor.

As the official Tech Home of the Consumer Electronics Association’s Tech Home Division, NextGen will also showcase CEA’s Tech Home rating system.

The home is conveniently located in the parking lot of the Las Vegas Convention center, near the South Entrance, next to the new monorail stop.
