The NextGen Energy Miser Home to Showcase
Energy Efficiency at the 2012 CES January 10th - 13th, 2012
BELLEVUE WA, December 5, 2011 – iShowMedia, producers of the NextGen Home Experience®, (www.nextgenhome.com), announces the first of its kind energy retrofit travelling home, which will debut at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 10th to 13th. The home will be located inside the South Hall, booth #26100, in the Las Vegas Convention Center where attendees may take self-guided tours throughout the event.
“The CES is the most press intensive event in the country,” says Paul Barnett, CEO of iShowMedia, “with over 140,000 attendees and some 6,500 press expected, this is the place to get the message out on lowering energy bills.”
The goal of the NextGen Energy Miser Home is to showcase to the national media, consumers and contractors, the many practical and affordable actions that home owners can take to lower their monthly energy bills, right now. In addition, when it comes time to replace high ticket items such as the HVAC systems or windows, a good replacement choice will deliver years of cost savings down the road.
The NextGen Energy Miser Home will feature the winner of the U.S. DOE “L” prize for LED Innovation, the Philips energy efficient, 10W dimmable LED bulb. IPG (Intertape Polymer Group) will show how basic cost effective products such as duct wrapping and weatherization can deliver a big bang for a low cost investment.
The all new electronic tankless hot water heater from SEISCO dubbed "the Enterprise" will be introduced in the NextGen Home which promises instant and endless hot water for the entire family while lowering energy costs.
Carrier will showcase its high efficient Infinity HVAC replacement system with a digital thermostat to maximize efficiency. Energy efficient siding from Mitten and metal roofing from DECRA are two products that deliver lower maintenance cost, while contributing to lower energy bills.
“Of course it’s the CES event, so we are going to show how smart home automation, featuring Savant’s iPhone and iPad technology, can provide enhanced energy management,” added Barnett.
The NextGen Energy Miser Home is filled with energy saving solutions and tips, that include spray foam insulation from Icynene that can dramatically improve attic and whole house energy performance.
“We are using social media, online broadcasting, print, video and the event itself to deliver a full year of consumer and trade education in the area of residential energy retrofits at www.NextGenHome.com,” said Barnett.
“Consumers need to be educated on the benefits of energy efficient upgrades so they will begin to ask contractors for these types of home improvements. Contractors need to see the business opportunity to really improve our existing home energy ratings,” added Barnett.
Consumers and professionals will be able to learn about the home energy retrofit online for a full year at NextGenHome.com. It all starts at the NextGen Energy Miser Home at the 2012 CES.
