NextGen Companion Homes™ Series to be Unveiled at the 2012 International Builders’ Show

BELLEVUE WA, October 11, 2011---The NextGen Companion Homes™ Series will be unveiled at the 2012 International Builders' Show in Orlando, Florida, February 8-11. The NextGen Companion Homes™ are designed to meet the growing market demand for small footprint homes that satisfy the generational needs of the American family. "Gone are the days when a home purchase was a brief stop on the way to an even larger residence,” stated Paul Barnett, President of iShow Media, producers of the NextGen Home Experience® Series of National Demonstration Homes. "Today families want to settle down in a home that costs less to operate, is built to last and designed with floor plans that have flexibility to adapt as needs change in the family cycle of life.”

The NextGen Companion Homes™ are the result of years of experience in presenting the next in next generation home designs and products at major events across the country. "We have adapted many of the best ideas and specifications that we have seen showcased in our NextGen National Event Demonstration Homes in a more affordable package," says Barnett.

Taking the NextGen specifications and making them a reality came when the award winning Martin Architectural Group and its Green Studio team led by Mike Rosen, took charge of the floor plan and elevation designs. "We are excited to be teamed with the NextGen Home Experience® to bring their Companion Homes™ concept to the marketplace,” stated Mike Rosen, Principal The Martin Architectural Group, P.C. Architects & Land Planners. "The time is right for these high- performance, small foot print homes to be introduced and each home will come with an integrated CoreWall design to simplify the construction process.”

The series of homes will include: A Multi-use Studio/Office/Guest Home; One Bedroom, Two Bedroom and Three Bedroom models. "The word Companion was chosen because the first three homes in the ‘Companion Series’ are designed to be a Companion Home™, sharing the same lot as an existing home,” explained Barnett. “They are ideal for use as a CareCottage, guest home, lodging for aging parents or extended family and much more.” The series will also include the ability for the home to be on a stand-alone lot with the design flexibility to add modules such as additional rooms or a garage.

The homes will be built by TownHomes LLC, and built to the next generation of energy saving codes, green friendly and examples of next generation design for the American Family.
